Dead Sun's creepy Seedance Halloween teaser, cut from three tries the maker called horrible

Dead Sun stitched the best shots of three Seedance 2.5 attempts into an 18-second horror teaser. The maker calls every attempt horrible and says a full 30-second generation was not worth the credits.

Dead Sun had some free credits to burn, so tried three times to make a 30-second Halloween teaser trailer with Seedance 2.5, and jokes that every attempt came out horrible. None of the three held together on its own, but the 18-second cut Dead Sun posted, built from the better shots of all three, is a creepy little horror teaser with plenty to like.

In its character look and setup it sits somewhere between Scream and Ghost Rider: a woman alone at the kitchen sink late at night, and a figure with a skull for a face and a wide-brimmed hat walking down a leafy suburban street with a glow in each hand, then standing right behind her.

It is short, and the audio is the standout touch, a voice teasing the name of the film before The Dead Sun Rises lands on screen. The character design is interesting, and it shows off a few skills and techniques along the way.

There is room to grow, and Dead Sun is upfront about it in the replies. Changing the written instructions between attempts fixed one thing and broke another, the title text came out garbled in one try, and a full 30-second generation did not feel worth the credits. Getting a whole teaser to hold together in one go is the next step, and this cut shows the ideas are there.
