Runway joins Claude Marketplace, so big companies can pay for AI video with their Anthropic commitment

Eligible enterprise customers can now put part of their Anthropic commitment toward Runway's video, image and audio tools. Neither company has said who qualifies, how much can go to Runway or whether Anthropic takes a cut.

Runway now sits inside Anthropic's Claude Marketplace. Since Oct 20, an eligible enterprise that has already committed money to Anthropic can put part of that commitment toward Runway Creative, Runway's platform for making and editing video, images and audio.

That is a buying change more than a product change. A marketing or production team already paying for Claude no longer needs a separate vendor deal to bring in AI video; it can come out of a budget that is already signed off. Runway is the only video tool in the marketplace's agents and products list, which is otherwise mostly coding, security and legal software.

What those teams get is Runway Agent, which Runway says runs on Claude for its reasoning. Give it a brief and it plans the piece, picks a model for each shot and assembles the cut. The menu mixes Runway's own Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0 with models from other labs, including Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 and ElevenLabs V4.

It is Runway's third partner launch in a week, after Baseten on Oct 14 and xAI's Grok Bot on Oct 19. Neither company has said which customers qualify, how much of a commitment can go to Runway or whether Anthropic takes a cut, and buying still runs through a sales rep rather than a button.
