Vedad Fisic's trailer for Kapetan runs just 14 seconds and puts an entire army on screen before the fighting starts. The film takes its name from Husein Kapetan Gradascevic, who led the Bosnian uprising of 1831, and it is due in spring 2027.

The trailer opens with soldiers climbing a rain-soaked hill in silhouette, then a title card: July, 1831, Kosovo. A boy drums in the rain, a cannon sits in the mud, and a commander in a white turban walks through a camp of fires, stopping to speak quietly with an older man. It closes on a lone rider raising a sabre at sunrise.

The characters, lighting, movement and audio are all flawless, a true masterclass in generative film work. We are especially fond of the period dress and weaponry, which keeps the history accurate even in generative media. It follows Edin, the Sarajevo 1995 trailer from the same maker, and keeps the work rooted in the history of Bosnia and the Balkans.
