ToaiDanh pits a tiny martial artist against Charlie Chaplin in a 19-second short

An animated clash of worlds that mixes Chaplin's slapstick with smooth martial arts, made with Seedance 2.5 on Higgsfield. The maker's bio lists Higgsfield among its creator programs.

ToaiDanh (@toaidanh_) sets a pint-sized martial artist called Little X against Charlie Chaplin, and it is one of the most fun 19 seconds we have spent with an animated short.

It plays as a clash of worlds on a stage lined with jack-o'-lanterns. The choreography strikes a perfect balance between Chaplin's slapstick, all cane, bowler hat and big shoes, and smooth martial arts moves, and the shot movement and framing keep the same comic timing as the fight itself.

The music carries it in the style of an almost 1920s piano ditty, and the characters stay perfectly consistent from one shot to the next. Little X wins the fight and steals the hat, then loses to a pumpkin, as the maker puts it.

ToaiDanh made it with Seedance 2.5 on Higgsfield and is asking who Little X should face next. Our only complaint is that we wanted it to be longer.

Kim Jun's Every Day builds dread from a fan and a book

A 19-second short from filmmaker Kim Jun, tense from the first frame, with striking color and design. The closing shot keeps the face hidden, and the post names no tools.

Kim Jun's Every Day is a 19-second short that is suspenseful and tense from the first frame, and it is today's Video of the Day on thegenerated.com.

A figure in a white shirt reads at a desk by a window, an electric fan beside the chair, then bends over a basin under a strip light, then stands at a mirror with their back to us. The framing and the choice of each shot keep the tension tight the whole way through.

The sound does a great deal of the work. The unsettling whir of the fan and the quick turn of the pages in a book match the picture perfectly.

The colors and the overall design of the scene and the character are striking throughout. The closing shot keeps the face obscured, and it leaves us wanting to know more about whoever this character is.

Zeeshi's AI beauty ad gets the water right and the skin tone wrong

A 15-second luxury beauty commercial made with Seedance 2.5 on Cuddler, with convincing water physics and character design. The audio and the skin tone let it down.

Zeeshi made Golden Hour Goddess, a 15-second luxury beauty commercial, with Seedance 2.5 on Cuddler. A model stands in a sunlit pool and runs her hands through her wet hair as the light catches the water.

The physics and the character design are what impress us. The water moves the way water should, and the view of the model through it is slightly distorted, just as it would be through a real lens. The slow motion fits a beauty spot, and so does the soft, blurred background behind her.

The audio and the skin tone are the letdowns here, and they are the parts we would fix first.

Even so, there is a great deal to like in this clip, and the commercial use is easy to see. We expect more and more ad spots to be generated in the coming weeks and months.
