Vedad Fisic's 11 second trailer for Edin carries a whole war
The trailer for Edin, a 30 minute short film out January 2027, moves a boy from a grin in the snow to tears in a Sarajevo bomb shelter in 11 seconds. The full film is not out yet.
The trailer for Edin runs just 11 seconds, and the amount of emotion and story it carries is nothing short of astounding. Vedad Fisic posted it this week. Edin is a 30 minute short film, out in January 2027.
The trailer opens in Sarajevo, Bosnia, in 1995. A boy in a striped football shirt grins outside in the snow, his ball resting among the gravestones. Then the same boy is underground, sheltering with his family, tears on his face and the same ball at his feet.
The contrast between that joy outside and the shelter below is artfully done, and the lighting carries the same light and dark motif across both scenes. The dancing light in the shelter as the bombs land is particularly impressive, and the boy stays flawlessly consistent between the two halves.
A really impressive trailer, and we are excited for the full release. Made something in this spirit? Tag us so we can take a look.
