el.cine: opus 5.5 + seedance 2.5 is unbelievable
el.cine's 46-second kaiju versus Jaeger micro-scene, made with Opus 5.5 and Seedance 2.5 per the maker's post, holds its physics from shot to shot. It is an openly inspired-by piece, down to a score borrowed from Pacific Rim.
A chrome Jaeger draws its bow on a storm-lashed coast, looses an electric arrow that circles the planet from orbit, and finds a water kaiju waiting below the waves. el.cine (EHuanglu on X) has made a 46-second micro-scene that is epic, action-packed and dripping with monster cool factor, and it lands right on beat for the current GPT “make me a Jaeger” trend.
This is a hyper-real engagement between a massive sea kaiju and a Transformers-esque archer Jaeger, with physics-defying action on a global scale. Excellent cinematic shot picks make it feel like something straight out of a blockbuster title, and the weaponry is imaginative from the first frame.
Despite that intercontinental electric arrow, the character, environment and animal physics stay consistent throughout, and the Jaeger's design stays on form from shot to shot. It is clearly an inspired-by piece, down to a score borrowed straight from the Pacific Rim franchise, and it would absolutely stand up alongside a big-budget monster flick.
Production: el.cine's own post names Opus 5.5 and Seedance 2.5 as the tools behind it.
